Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-16
Short version. We give you a 5-day free trial with full access to everything before you pay. After you choose to pay, your plan is non-refundable. The only exceptions are technical failures that stopped you from accessing what you paid for, and duplicate or accidental charges.
1. Try before you buy — 5-day free trial
Every new account gets 5 days of full access from the date of signup, at no charge and without a card on file. You can use the doubt solver, practice drills, mock tests, study plan and all past-paper solutions during the trial. Use this period to decide whether the Service is right for you.
2. Paid plans are non-refundable
Because the 5-day trial gives you full access before payment, paid plans are non-refundable once purchased. This applies to all plan tiers (1‑month, 6‑month and 12‑month). When you pay, you confirm that you have evaluated the Service during your free trial and accept this policy.
Each plan is a one-time purchase for the validity window shown at /upgrade. There is no auto-renewal — you will not be charged again unless you choose to buy another plan when the current one expires.
3. When we will refund
We will issue a refund in these specific situations:
- Duplicate or accidental charge. If you were charged twice for the same plan or paid by mistake, we will refund the duplicate or extra payment in full.
- Sustained technical failure. If a defect on our side makes the Service substantially unusable for more than 72 continuous hours during your paid validity period, and we are unable to fix it, you may request a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your plan.
- Wrong product purchased. If you bought the wrong tier within the last 24 hours and have not used any paid feature beyond the trial, we will reverse the charge so you can buy the correct one.
In every case, please email us first so we can fix the underlying issue. We will respond within 24 hours and resolve refund requests within 7 working days.
4. When we will not refund
- You changed your mind after using the Service
- You did not study during the validity window
- You did not pass the CA Inter exam, or your marks were lower than you expected
- You bought a 12‑month plan close to your exam and feel it was not worth the price
- Your access was suspended or terminated because you breached the Terms (account sharing, scraping, reselling, etc.)
5. How to request a refund
Email legal@catargettestprep.com with the subject “Refund request” and include:
- The email address registered on your CA Target Test Prep account
- The payment ID or order ID (visible in your receipt email)
- A brief description of the reason
We will acknowledge within 24 hours and decide within 7 working days. If we approve a refund, we process it through the original payment method using our payment gateway. Settlement typically takes 5–7 working days for cards and 1–3 working days for UPI, depending on your bank. Bank or payment-network charges, if any, are not refunded.
6. Charged but did not get access
If your payment succeeded but your account was not upgraded, do not pay again. Email us with the payment ID from your receipt and we will reconcile and upgrade your account, usually within a few hours.
7. Failed payments
If your payment failed and the bank shows a pending debit, you do not need to ask for a refund. Payment gateways automatically reverse pending charges within 5–7 working days. If you do not see the reversal after that, send us your bank statement and we will follow up with the gateway on your behalf.
8. Chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, please email us first — we can almost always resolve it directly and faster than your bank can. Raising a chargeback without contacting us first may suspend your account while the dispute is open.
For refund or billing grievances, contact legal@catargettestprep.com. We acknowledge within 24 hours and respond within 7 days, in line with the DPDP Act 2023 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
