These Terms govern your use of catargettestprep.com and the services available on it (the “Service”), operated under the brand CA Target Test Prep (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, starting your free trial, or making a payment, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

CA Target Test Prep is an independent online preparation platform for the CA Intermediate examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (“ICAI”). The Service includes past-paper questions and worked solutions, topic-wise practice drills, mock tests, a study plan, an AI doubt solver (web + WhatsApp), and reference material for the Indian Accounting Standards, bare Acts and ICAI Standards.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ICAI. References to ICAI questions, Standards and Acts are reproduced under the fair-dealing exception in section 52 of the Copyright Act, 1957, for the limited purpose of educational commentary and exam preparation.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the Service only with verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

You must provide accurate contact details (email and, optionally, WhatsApp number). One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Sharing your account with other people, or letting more than one person sign in concurrently, is a material breach of these Terms.

3. Free trial

New accounts receive 5 days of full access to the Service from the date of signup, at no charge and without a card on file. At the end of the 5-day trial, paid access is required to continue using gated features (practice drills, mock tests, AI doubt solver, past-paper solutions, study plan).

The trial is intended to let you evaluate the Service fully before deciding to pay. You may use the trial only once; creating multiple accounts to extend the trial is a breach of these Terms.

4. Plans, pricing and payment

Plan tiers, prices and validity windows are listed on the /upgrade page. Each plan is a one-time purchase for the validity period shown — access does not auto-renew, and you will not be charged again unless you choose to buy another plan.

Prices on the upgrade page are inclusive of all applicable taxes. Payments are processed through a regulated Indian payment gateway. We do not store your card, UPI or net-banking details on our servers.

Validity is counted from the date of payment. When your plan expires, access to gated features pauses until you purchase a new plan; your account, history and saved progress are retained.

5. Refunds

Paid plans are non-refundable. The 5-day free trial is provided so that you can evaluate the full Service before paying. Narrow exceptions (technical failures preventing access, duplicate or accidental charges) are described in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

scrape, crawl, mirror, or bulk-download solutions, questions or other content;
share, resell, sublicense or otherwise distribute access to the Service;
use the AI doubt solver for tasks outside the CA Intermediate syllabus, including general-purpose chat, code generation, or any content prohibited by Indian law;
attempt to bypass paywalls, trial expiry, rate limits, or quota controls;
upload viruses, malware, or content that infringes third-party rights;
use the Service in violation of any applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, without refund.

7. AI-generated content

The doubt solver uses large language models to generate explanations. AI output can be incomplete, outdated or wrong — particularly on numerical problems, recent amendments, and bare-Act citations. Always cross-check material answers against the latest ICAI Suggested Answers, the bare Act, and the current ICAI Study Material before relying on them for your exam.

8. Intellectual property

All worked solutions, drill questions, skeletons, lessons, mock tests, software, design and other original material on the Service are owned by CA Target Test Prep and are protected by Indian and international copyright law. ICAI questions, Standards and Acts remain the property of ICAI and the Government of India respectively.

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own exam preparation. No other use is permitted. You may not republish, sell, or use our content to train any machine-learning model.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific exam outcome will result from using it. Passing the CA Inter examination depends on your own preparation; the Service is a study aid, not a guarantee.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, CA Target Test Prep’s total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary or special damages, including loss of marks, lost study time, or examination failure.

11. Intermediary status and grievance redressal

To the extent the Service hosts user-generated content (doubt-solver questions, feedback), we act as an “intermediary” under section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Intermediary Rules, 2021. Our designated Grievance Officer for the purposes of those rules and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 can be reached at legal@catargettestprep.com. We aim to acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion via the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, fraudulent payment activity, or as required by law. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to your registered email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi.
