Any member entitled to vote at the meeting can inspect proxy forms deposited with the company.
### Procedure for Inspection
The member must give not less than 3 days' prior notice in writing of the intention to inspect.
Inspection is allowed during business hours.
### Period of Inspection
From: 24 hours before the meeting
Till: End/conclusion of the meeting
### Important Note on Voting
If both the member and the proxy attend the meeting, the member can revoke the proxy's right by voting himself.
Attendance by the member without voting does NOT automatically revoke the proxy's authority.
Worked example
### Example 1
Example: AGM is scheduled for 15th August at 10 AM. A member wishes to inspect proxy forms. He must give written notice at least by 12th August (3 days prior). Inspection can be done from 14th August 10 AM (24 hours before) till conclusion of the meeting on 15th August.
### Example 2
Example: If Mr. P appoints Mr. Q as proxy but both attend the AGM, Mr. P can revoke Mr. Q's authority simply by voting himself.
⚠️ Common exam mistakes
Confusing the 24-hour inspection window with the 48-hour proxy deposit period.
Thinking the proxy automatically loses authority when the member merely attends — actual voting by the member is required.
Forgetting the 3-day prior written notice requirement for inspection.
